Elon Musk consumed drugs with Tesla board members, suggested to get into rehab, claims report

In a recent report by the Wall Street Journal, it has been revealed that Elon Musk’s purported use of illegal drugs was widely known among current and former directors of Tesla Inc. and SpaceX. The report highlights concerns regarding the extent of Musk’s illegal drug consumption, suggesting that he indulged in drug use with some members of his board.

According to the report, individuals who either witnessed Musk’s drug use or were briefed on the matter expressed worry about the frequency of such incidents. Surprisingly, the board did not initiate any investigations into the issue, and no documented concerns were reported, as per the sources cited by the newspaper.

This revelation comes on the heels of a Delaware judge’s criticism of the relationship between Musk and his directors, citing conflicts of interest within the board. The judge’s remarks were part of a ruling that deemed Musk’s $55 billion pay package excessive.

Despite attempts to reach Musk and his lawyer, Alex Spiro, for comment, both remained silent in response to the Wall Street Journal’s inquiries. The paper had previously reported Musk’s alleged use of substances such as LSD, cocaine, ecstasy, and psychedelic mushrooms, often at private gatherings. Spiro had countered these claims, stating that Musk underwent regular and random drug testing at SpaceX, never failing any test.

The article also suggests that some friends and directors felt compelled to partake in illegal drug use with Musk, fearing potential repercussions if they declined. It is mentioned that they were reluctant to risk “losing the social capital” associated with being part of Musk’s inner circle.

Elon Musk had previously responded to the Wall Street Journal’s coverage of his alleged drug use on X last month. In his post, Musk humorously stated, “Whatever I’m doing, I should obviously keep doing it!” He went on to emphasize Tesla and SpaceX’s status as the world’s most valuable car and space companies, and he contemplated taking drugs if they genuinely improved his net productivity over time.

It is essential to note that Musk oversees six companies: Tesla, SpaceX, X, The Boring Company a tunnelling venture, Neuralink, a brain implant developer, and xAI, an artificial intelligence startup.
