G20 Summit 2023: PM Modi calls for moving on from global family to 'global' village'

Emphasizing the ‘One Future’ theme in the third session of the G20 Summit, PM Modi called for moving on from the idea of a global village towards a ‘global family’.

PM Modi addressed the summit before handing the gavel to Lula de Silva, the President of Brazil, who will follow India to take over the G20 Presidency.

“Shared my thoughts during Session 3 of the G20 Summit. This Session focussed on the theme of ‘One Future.’ Emphasised the need of the hour being to look beyond the idea of a Global Village and make the vision of Global Family a reality,” PM posted on X talking about his address.

While handing over the gavel, PM Modi assured Lula of cooperation during their G20 presidency, which it assumes on 1 December, 2023.

“India assures all possible cooperation to Brazil during their upcoming G20 Presidency,” PM said on X.
