The incident took place near the Sagphata railway station when the army’s special train changed into travelling from Jammu and Kashmir to Karnataka on Wednesday, September 18.

The driver of the train changed into alert after an explosion took place as the train omitted the detonators and quickly stopped the train. He then informed the station master. No one changed into injured all throughout the incident.

Senior officials from the Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS), National Investigation Agency (NIA), railways, and native police are probing the incident.

Earlier on Sunday, 22 September 2024, an empty gas cylinder changed into found on the railway tracks near the Prempur railway station in Uttar Pradesh’s Kanpur. The products train loco pilot needed to apply emergency brakes to forestall the train.

The incident took place at eight:10 am when the train changed into going to Prayagraj from Kanpur, said the police.

“It changed into found that the cylinder changed into of 5-kilogram capacity and empty. It changed into removed from the track. The matter is being investigated,” the police said.

This changed into the second such incident in Uttar Pradesh this month. The train changed into running at a high speed when the loco pilot spotted the LPG cylinder on the tracks and applied emergency brakes.
