Gerald Coetzee ruled out of second India vs South Africa Test at Newlands
Gerald Coetzee on Saturday was ruled out of the second India-South Africa Test which starts on 3 January. The fast bowler will be missing the Cape Town Test after “developing pelvic inflammation during the first Test at SuperSport Park”, Cricket South Africa said.
Coetzee took one wicket in South Africa’s victory by an innings and 32 runs over India in the first Test at Centurion as the Proteas opted for a four-pacer attack.
The 23-year-old pacer rose to fame during the 2023 ODI World Cup where he grabbed 20 wickets to become the highest wicket-taker for South Africa in a single edition of ODI World Cup.
