Gurucharan Singh’s Father Expresses Agony on Son’s Disappearance, Says ‘Hum Uske Wapas Aane Ka…’

It has been days since Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah fame Gurucharan Singh aka Sodhi, was reported missing. The actor was last seen on April 22, 2024. Singh was in Delhi to attend his father’s birthday and was supposed to go back to Mumbai. However, he never boarded the aircraft. After the actor went missing, his family registered a complaint and also filed an FIR. Now, in a conversation with ETimes, Singh’s father has expressed his agony and pain about his son being missing for days. 

Gurucharan Singh’s father Hargit Singh, said, “Whatever has happened is very shocking, and we don’t know how to deal with it.” He also added, “Hum sab bahut pareshan hain and are eagerly waiting for some update from the police. Hum uske wapas aane ka intezaar kar rahe hain.” After Singh went missing, different reports started to float online claiming he was going through financial debt and depression and was also supposed to get married soon. 

Meanwhile, Gurucharan Singh’s friend Bhakti Soni, who has known the actor for a decade now said, she was supposed to fetch him from the Mumbai airport. However, the actor never showed up. Bhakti said, “I went to the airport and waited for him, but he didn’t come. I tried calling him, but I couldn’t reach him. So, I thought he cancelled his trip at the last minute. The next day, I got to know that he was not traceable.”

She further added, “I am now in touch with Gurucharan’s mother. She calls his friends to know if he has connected with any of us. We hope that the police are able to get some information. We are waiting for him to Return.”

Gurucharan Singh’s character was adored by fans. The actor became a household name. However, in 2013, the actor quit the show, and later, in 2014 returned. He finally exited the show in 2020.
