“India regards the United States…..,” Piyush Goyal while speaking on India-US engagement

Washington DC: Union Minister of Commerce and Industry, Piyush Goyal, on Friday stated that US-India members of the family are expanding across a sort of sectors, including trade, technology, and investment. Goyal emphasised that India places great importance on its relationship with america. “Let me be clear: India regards america as thought to be one of our most reliable trade partners. We are more and more expanding our members of the family and trade across goods, services, technology, and investment. We deeply value this partnership. Less than the Modi government, we've enjoyed first-class members of the family with the Obama, Trump, and Biden administrations, and we are anticipating this to continue within the future,” he said.

Goyal in the same way stated that India and the  US had signed an MoU on important minerals to keep supply chains open and foster collaboration between India’s Ministry of Mines and the U. S. government. “The total way through my four-day consult with to the U. S., we signed the MoU on important minerals to confirm supply chains remain open and to foster collaboration between India’s Ministry of Mines and the U. S. government,” he said.

Goyal highlighted that trade policy forums and commercial dialogues with the U. S. are now occurring on a standard basis, a notable improvement when put next with a couple of years ago. “The Trade Policy Forum, the Commercial Dialogue with the U. S. Commerce Secretary, and the India-US CEO Forum are all in regular contact. There turned right into a time when such meetings were rare, with years passing without engagement. As of late, they're focused, agenda-driven, and frequent,” he said.

He also underscored that high-level meetings between India and the U. S. are now consistently going down. “Another significant point is the variety of high-level engagements within only one month. The Prime Minister turned into here, followed by the Defence Minister, the Foreign Minister, and myself. The U. S.-India relationship now transcends politics. Both america and India, on the highest levels, are engaging on a standard basis, and this relationship is bettering and maturing by the month,” Goyal said.

Goyal also addressed the importance of reskilling and upskilling technical personnel to beef up greater collaboration in synthetic intelligence (AI). “The academia-industry partnership, which turned into stepped forward by the Prime Minister’s tech roundtable at MIT, turned right into a key discussion point. We explored how we're ready to work together on reskilling and upskilling technical professionals to give the workforce needed for greater collaboration in AI, machine learning, and the establishment of data centres in India. These efforts will create investment opportunities in both countries. I also met with top bankers and investment funds, many of whom have ambitious plans, and the figures they're discussing for future investments are remarkable, showcasing the attractiveness of India’s growth story and the capability of the four Ds — Decisive leadership, Demographic dividend, and vibrant Democracy,” Goyal said.

The Commerce Minister reiterated that the India-US partnership will continue to thrive. “Given the global risks related to working with countries that lack the rule of law and non-discriminatory policies, the India-US relationship is powerful in every sense. We could be able to continue to collaborate with the same mutual believe that defines this partnership,” he said.
