On Saturday, Bumrah hardly put any foot wrong. Much like James Anderson on Day 1, Bumrah ended as the most economical bowler (2.80) among all Indian bowlers. He did not give away even a single extra. Read PN Vishnu's analysis of Day 2 of the second Test here.

Jasprit Bumrah after Day 2:

India seamer took six wickets and had this to say after the day: "You always enjoy when you get rewards. In India reverse swing plays a big role. Born in this country, you know how to use it to your advantage. In India, you have to learn how to bowl reverse. I've grown up watching reverse swing set ups, legendary bowlers bowling magical deliveries. To be able to do it now, very happy with that. When you bowl reverse, people try to bowl magical deliveries every other ball. You have to be patient with that. Have to set the batters up. Have to use deliveries wisely. Can't just bowl inswing outswing, inswing outswing. After that Pope delivery, I had in mind they'll be looking out for the inswinger. Was keeping an eye on what the batters were looking to do. Very happy.

"Try and avoid looking at numbers. When you do that, you build pressure and don't enjoy yourself."

Zak Crawley after the second day's play

The England player said: "Bumrah bowled unbelievably well. I felt it was a better wicket than last week to bat on it at that point and there wasn't much turn, but you got to hold your hand up sometimes and say 'well bowled'."

Crawley also praised Yashasvi Jaiswal for his "unbelievable innings".

"Really big fan of the way he goes about it, he's really aggressive and it's obviously going to be a very special knock," he said.

India vs England 2nd Test LIVE

Hello and welcome to our live coverage of the India vs England 2nd Test from Visakhapatnam. India lead by 171 runs going into the third day's play with Rohit Sharma and Yashasvi Jaiswal set to come out to bat. 10 wickets in hand. India should look to post a 400-450+ target to be confident of their chances. Let's see how things pan out then.

India vs England 2nd Test LIVE: Yashasvi Jaiswal scored 209 runs and Jasprit Bumrah took six wickets on Day 2 of the second Test to put India in command against England in Visakhapatnam. After scoring 396 runs in the first innings, India bowled England out for 253 runs to take a 143 run lead.

Leading India’s bowling effort was Bumrah with a 6/45 and spinner Kuldeep Yadav who took three. Openers Rohit Sharma (13) and Jaiswal (15) then saw out the five overs until the end of the day’s play.

England had started well courtesy Zak Crawley’s 76 run knock then had skipper Ben Stokes scoring 47 runs late on but they lost wickets at regular intervals mid-way to be dismissed cheaply.

For India it would be crucial to take lessons from the opening Test where they had a hefty 190 run lead but let it slip. So, it would be important for Rohit Sharma & Co. to not relax just yet.
