Pakistan captain Babar Azam is not perturbed by history and is looking to make a new one on Saturday.

“Beating India had not happened even before T20 WC in 2021, so there is always a first time,” Babar said on the eve of the match. “I don’t focus on the records or on the past. Our team has been doing well. This kind of record is meant to be broken. Hope it happens tomorrow.”

India, playing at home, are strong favourites but need to be wary of dangerous Pakistan.

“They are a very good team, last few years they’ve done really well, whether it’s at the T20 World Cup or in the 50-over format. No team becomes No. 1 just like that. Pakistan has worked hard a lot to get there, they look like a unit. It will be a good challenge to play against them,” Rohit said.
