IPL 2024: Harshit Rana’s Hilariously Mocks BCCI During Team KKR’s Return From Lucknow – WATCH VIDEO

New Delhi: One-match suspension and hefty fines do not seem to have bothered Harshit Rana as the Kolkata Knight Riders pacer hilariously mocked the BCCI in an Instagram live session conducted by the franchise itself mid-air. The incident occurred during KKR’s return from Lucknow in a chartered flight following the two-time champions’ huge win over Lucknow Super Giants. Due to inclement weather in Kolkata on Monday, the flight carrying KKR players had to be diverted to Guwahati. The flight departed from Guwahati at midnight but once again it couldn’t land in Kolkata before being diverted to Varanasi. They finally reached Kolkata on Tuesday morning.

During their time in Guwahati, Rana joked with head coach Chandrakant Pandit if they could play their May 19 match against Rajasthan Royals in the Assamese city earlier. “Ek kaam karte hai, practice kar lete hai, ek session yaha kar lete hai (Let’s do one thing, keep a practice session here),” Rana said. To which Pandit replied, “Phir match bhi yahi khel lete hai. Ek last mein jo match hai hamara. (Yes, one session here and then we can also play our last league match here).”

“19 ko match hai. Kal parso mein hi khelke khatam kar lete hai. Toh 19 ko nahi aana padega. (We have the match on the 19th. Let’s get it done by tomorrow or day after so that we don’t have to come here again),” Rana added. “Main dekhta hu. Baat karni padegi BCCI ke saath. (Let me see what I can do. Will have to talk to the BCCI),” the KKR coach replied.

“BCCI se toh baat karo hi mat (Don’t talk to BCCI),” Rana concluded. The video quickly went viral on social media. Rana was first proven guilty in the match against Sunrisers Hyderabad when he gave a send-off to Mayank Agarwal with a flying kiss.

He was fined 60 per cent of his match fees by the IPL governing council. But that didn’t make him cautious as the KKR pacer made a similar kind of offense in the match against Delhi Capitals. Against Delhi, Rana gestured towards Avishek Porel, indicating the latter’s return to the dugout. Although he was poised to give a flying kiss to Porel but controlled himself by remembering his earlier consequences.
