Bengaluru: The well-known Kannada actor, Darshan Thoogudeepa profoundly known as ‘Rowdy of Sandalwood’ found himself caught in a murder investigation in Bengaluru. What Is Renuka Swamy Murder Case? Here’s What We Know
The Kannada actor, who is 47 years old, was discreetly moved from his countryside home in Mysuru to Bengaluru to undergo questioning. Renuka Swamy, age 33 who used to be an employee at Apollo Pharmacy branch in Chitradurga was found dead at Sumanahalli Bridge in Bengaluru. Swamy’s parents raised the alarm that he was nowhere to be found, although it was just a day into his mysterious absence. Consequently, his murder was formally recorded on the 9th of June, which set a legal probe in motion.
According to HT Times, Bengaluru Police Commissioner B Dayananda is currently investigating Darshan Thoogudeepa’s alleged murder case along with his wife. The commissioner added, “In connection with a murder case registered in Kamakshipalaya police station on June 9, one of the actors of the Kannada film industry (Darshan) has been detained and the matter is under investigation. The victim is a person from Chitradurga. He is around 33 years old. His name is Renuka Swamy (sic)”, read the statement by Commissioner Dayananda.
Bengaluru Police Detains 10 Others in Connection with Murder Case
Since the murder mystery is yet to be solved, the police have additionally detained more than ten individuals who were apprehended by authorities, including the actor’s personal security. The circumstances surrounding Renuka Swamy’s unfortunate passing remain somewhat unclear.
