The celebration for the actor’s 39th birthday began at midnight when his cousins Janhvi Kapoor, Shanaya Kapoor, and Mohit Marwah were spotted arriving at his house. However, while the majority of the actor’s close friends were spotted entering his house, Malaika Arora, who is Arjun Kapoor’s lady love, was absent from the event. This comes amid the breakup rumours of the duo. With Malaika’s absence, fans are speculating that the couple has finally parted ways.
Last month, breakup rumours about the duo started making rounds on the internet when a source informed Pinkvilla that their relationship had “run its course.” “Malaika and Arjun had a very special relationship, and both of them will continue to hold a special place in each other’s hearts. They have chosen to part ways and will maintain a dignified silence in this matter. They won’t allow anyone to drag and dissect their relationship,” a source told Pinkvilla.
“They had a long, loving, fruitful relationship that has unfortunately run its course now. That doesn’t mean there is any bad blood between them. They respect each other hugely and have been a pillar of strength for each other. Over the years, they have given their relationship a lot of respect. They will continue to give each other the same respect despite deciding to part ways. Both of them were in a serious relationship for years, and they expect people to be gracious enough to give them space at this emotional time,” the source added.
However, after the news made headlines, Malaika’s manager denied the rumours and assured the couple’s fans that their relationship was intact and they were together. “No, no. All rumours,” the manager told India Today.
Meanwhile, a video from midnight surfaced online, showing Arjun’s cousins entering his home. Apart from them, Varun Dhawan, who will share the screen with Arjun in No Entry 2, was also spotted joining the celebrations. He was accompanied by his wife Natasha Dalal.
