Man Sues Apple For Rs 53 Crore After Deleted Private Chats With Sex Workers Found By Wife

Man Sues Apple: USA Tech giant Apple is being blamed for and is being sued by a man after his wife found deleted messages on a linked computer. The deleted messages that were read by the man’s wife revealed that he had been arranging meetings with sex workers, or prostitutes, reports The Times.

The man has acknowledged seeing sex workers and arranging meetings through iMessage. However, he deleted the messages and was sure that this would keep his acts a secret. The businessman is filing a lawsuit against Apple for £5 million (approximately Rs 53 crore), alleging that the company fails to notify customers that messages deleted from one device can still be visible on other Apple devices.

When his wife opened the app on their iMac, she saw that his last message to another person’s iPhone was to a sex worker. She then found several years’ worth of supposedly deleted messages to prostitutes, said The Times.

When someone is informed that a message has been deleted, they have the right to trust that it has indeed been erased, he conveyed to the newspaper. He acknowledged that for his wife, discovering what he had been doing in such a manner was harsh.

The man pondered that, had he managed to speak to her calmly and she had not undergone such a “harsh awakening,” he might still be married.

He described divorce as an “extraordinarily stressful process,” particularly when children and family dynamics come into play. He attributed the ordeal to Apple’s incorrect notification that his messages were deleted, which they were not. He mentioned that a message confirming the deletion on that device would have served as a useful indication.
