Munawar Faruqui, a stand-up comedian who rose to fame after winning Lock Upp and Bigg Boss 17, has recently tied the knot for the second time to Mehzabeen Coatwala. The comedian’s wedding was a private affair, attended only by close friends and family. A family member confirmed to indianexpress.com that Munawar married Mehzabeen Coatwala, a makeup artist from the Memon community residing in Agripada, Mumbai Central. However, it remains unclear whether the marriage was arranged or a love match. The couple got married in Mumbai about 10 to 12 days ago and later held a wedding reception on Sunday at ITC Maratha.
A source revealed, “Yes, Munawar is now married. He got married. He wants to keep it under wraps; hence, you would not find any pictures of the two.” The source added that the ceremony was intimate, with only close family and friends in attendance. The guest list was limited to around 100 people.
Rumours of Munawar’s second marriage began circulating online after a fan account posted about his secret wedding. A picture of the wedding invitation also surfaced, purportedly belonging to Munawar. Adding to the speculation, Mehzabeen shared an Instagram story showing two hands holding each other.

Hina Khan, who starred in a song with Munawar, further fueled the rumours by posting a photo on her Instagram Stories with the song “Meri Yaar Ki Shaadi Hai.”
Previously, Munawar faced controversies involving accusations of cheating from his ex-girlfriends Ayesha Khan and Nazila Sitashi. This is Munawar’s second marriage; he was previously married and has a son with his ex-wife. During his time in the Bigg Boss 17 house, he got emotional talking about his son, revealing, “My ex-wife is married now, and I have custody of my son.” In a 2022 interview, he mentioned that he is not in touch with his ex-wife, except for matters concerning their son’s expenses.
Munawar Faruqui was married to Jasmine, with whom he shares a son, Mikael. Jasmine and He got married in 2017 and got a divorce in 2022, as per reports. Munawar’s personal life garnered interest when he opened up about Jasmine and his son Lock Upp season 1.
