Three-time runners-up Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) entered the IPL 2024 Auction having released leading names such as Josh Hazlewood and Wanindu Hasaranga as well as India seamer Harshal Patel.

By releasing 11 players, the Faf du Plessis-led side aimed at a near-overhaul of the squad. They also happened to make a couple of trades along the way, bringing in Mayank Dagar from Sunrisers Hyderabad and Australia all-rounder Cameron Green from Mumbai Indians.

Heading into the IPL 2024 Auction, RCB, who narrowly missed out on the playoffs last season, had six slots to fill with three of them for overseas recruits.
