Shah Rukh Khan and Karan Johar have been friends for over three decades. Having made entry into the Indian film industry at around the same time, the two have been friends and collaborators for several years now and their fondness for each other never goes unseen. While the duo shares an inseparable relationship, the Jawan actor is yet to make an appearance on Karan Johar’s popular celebrity talk show Koffee with Karan Season 8. Fans have eagerly awaited SRK’s appearance on the show who last featured in the fifth season alongside Alia Bhatt. And now it seems like their dream might come true as the show’s host has finally broken his silence about SRK’s return on the couch.
At a recent event in Mumbai, Karan Johar spoke about his plans to invite Shah Rukh Khan to Koffee with Karan season 8.
“I, of all of the people, have been his closest friends and family and should understand. I have the leverage to call him and request him and he has never said no. But I haven’t asked him yet as I don’t want him to be in a situation of dilemma when he has to say no to me. He is somebody who matters to me, he is family, and he is my older brother. I know when the right time is and I will ask him,” Karan said.
Adding more to it, the ace filmmaker added that SRK when given a chance to speak will do extraordinarily well, noting that he gives amazing interviews whether on a global platform or a national platform calling him the “wizard of words.”

The filmmaker also spoke about whether he misses Shah Rukh Khan on the couch. He jokingly said, “I don’t miss him because I have Koffee with Karan with him every night. Almost every evening, Shah Rukh, Gauri, his family and I meet and have conversations. I understand why you might miss it, but I am satiated because he is a huge big part of my existence.”
While Karan Johar’s words might have been hinted about SRK’s return to the Koffee with Karan couch for the eighth season, the show has already witnessed some of the biggest stars on the couch with Kajol and Rani Mukerji to be the latest. He is now gearing up to host actors Vicky Kaushal and Kiara Advani.
