Shah Rukh Khan's twist to Jawan's 'beta' dialogue dedicated to 'girls and women'

After a hiatus of three-long years, Shah Rukh Khan returned with back-to-back hits like Pathaan and Jawan. Now, it’s been close to a month that Jawan released on the silver screens. The Atlee-helmed blockbuster have been sweeping theatres not only across the nation but also worldwide ever since.

As the Jawan fever continues to grip fans, an interesting occurrence marked Tuesday evening during a special event organised at Mumbai’s Yash Raj Studio. The event, which was arranged to toast the grand success of Jawan, saw Shah Rukh Khan interacting with fans and receiving gifts from them. He also delivered his iconic dialogue from Jawan but with a twist.

At the event, King Khan said, “Beti ki taraf ankh uthane se pehle baap se baat kar (Before you roll your eyes at the daughter, first talk to the father).” Shah Rukh Khan further added, “This dialogue is for all girls and women.” Needless to say, loud cheers and claps followed as the Baadshah of Bollywood delivered his iconic dialogue from his latest flick.

The popular baap-beta dialogue from the Shah Rukh starrer was given by his character Vikram Rathore after he regains his memory in the film. The now-famous line was dedicated to antagonist Kalee (Vijay Sethupathi) when he was about to hit his son Azad (also played by SRK) in front of him.
