In a lively Mushaira Roast event, Sonakshi Sinha, from Heeramandi, sparked a moment of fun by teasing Bigg Boss 17 winner Munawar Faruqui about his dating life. The gathering included several stars from the Heeramandi series, with Munawar Faruqui being the eye of the storm in the playful banter. Netflix India recently shared a delightful video capturing the essence of the roast, where laughter filled the air. Notably, Richa Chadha was the only star missing from this engaging event.
Munawar Faruqui, known for his stand-up comedy, shared the stage with acclaimed actresses such as Manisha Koirala, Aditi Rao Hydari, Sanjeeda Shaikh, and Sharmin Segal from Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar series, creating a memorable and enjoyable evening for everyone involved.

While all the stars showcased their talents admirably, Sonakshi Sinha undeniably stole the spotlight. Divided into two teams – “Sonakshi Ki Saheliyan” and “Manisha Ki Mallikaein” – the event was hosted by Munawar Faruqui, who playfully teased Sonakshi about her nail brand. In return, Sonakshi playfully referenced Munawar’s recent controversy from Bigg Boss 17. During a moment when Munawar was charming both Aditi Rao Hydari and Sanjeeda Shaikh simultaneously, Sonakshi quipped, “Why do you always find yourself stuck between two girls?” To this, Munawar cheekily responded, “Let’s not go there, please. The editor is my friend.”
When Munawar was in Bigg Boss 17 which he eventually won, Ayesha Khan, who shared a “situationship” with the comedian, demanded an apology from Munawar for his past behaviour. Cat got out of the bag when the actress revealed secrets about Munawar’s relationship with ex-girlfriend Nazila Sitaishi. Besides all of this, Ayesha also accused Munawar of sending proposals to multiple women outside the Bigg Boss house.
During this roast, Munawar’s admiration for Aditi Rao Hydari was very obvious. The Heeramandi actresses were asked to say shayaris. When Sanjeeda Shaikh’s chance came, she looked at Munawar and said, “This is for your beloved Aditi.” Munawar liked how Sanjeeda said it and replied, “It sounded so nice.” While looking at Aditi, he asked Sanjeeda to repeat what she said.
As Munawar was trying to appeal to both actresses, Sonakshi Sinha quickly commented, “Kyu baar baar do do ladkiyo ke bich mei fass jaate ho tum? (Why do you always get stuck between two girls?)”
