Suryakumar Yadav gives update on ankle injury he suffered during India vs South Africa 3rd T20I
Suryakumar Yadav has revealed that the ankle injury he suffered in the third and final T20I between India and South Africa is “not that serious”. The India captain twisted his ankle in the third over of South Africa’s chase. The Mumbai Indians player hurt his ankle while trying to stop a shot from Reeza Hendricks off Mohammed Siraj. His reaction after injuring his ankle suggested that he was in extreme pain as he limped out of the field with the help of the physio.
SKY didn’t return to the field after the incident and vice-captain Ravindra Jadeja marshalled the Indian troops in the remaining part of the match as Men in Blue won by 106 runs to level the series 1-1 at Johannesburg.
