Vice-President Kamala Harris, Former President Donald Trump Tied In Poll Ahead Of Debate

Washington: US Vice-President Kamala Harris and former President Donald Trump go into their first debate on Tuesday tied in a national poll of likely voters by The New York Times and Siena College published on Sunday.

Trump leads Harris (Forty eight per cent against forty seven per cent) all at some point of the poll, which has an error margin of three per cent.

The race continues to be largely unchanged, the New York Times reported from July, when Harris took over the Democratic ticket from President Joe Biden, citing a poll it had published then.

Trump “will have had a rough month following the president’s departure and amid the burst of excitement that the vice-president delivered to the Democratic ticket”, the report said, adding, “the poll suggests his give a boost to continues to be remarkably resilient”.

The race is similarly tied all at some point of the seven battleground states surveyed by the New York Times with Harris either before Trump or tied — Wisconsin (50 per cent – forty seven per cent), Michigan (Forty nine per cent – forty seven per cent), Pennsylvania (Forty nine per cent – Forty eight per cent), Nevada (Forty eight per cent – Forty eight per cent), Arizona (Forty eight per cent – Forty eight per cent), Georgia (48per cent – Forty eight per cent) and North Carolina (Forty eight per cent – Forty eight per cent).

The Vice President is before the former President, with Forty eight.1% to 46.7% all at some point of the national polls average by RealClearPolitics, and forty seven.three% to 44.2% all at some point of the weighted average by FiveThirtyEight. The first presidential debate between Harris and Trump is scheduled for Tuesday in Philadelphia, and as of now, it be the sole debate of this cycle.

With early polling starting up in numerous states this month and fewer than 60 days remaining until the conclusion of vote casting by mail or in person on November 5, time is a luxury neither candidate can come up with the money for to squander in reversing any setbacks. Or not it truly is specifically true for Harris, who confronts her most significant challenge of this race on Tuesday.

Harris is privy to the high stakes and has largely stepped off the campaign trail, having been in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania since Thursday to prepare for the controversy.
