Mumbai: A thrilling Super Over win helped India level the T20I series 1-1 against Australia on Sunday at the Dr. DY Patil Sports Academy, Mumbai.
After both teams scored 187 in 20 overs in the second T20I, the game progressed to the Super Over where hosts India clinched a four-run win to make a comeback in the series.
India scored 20 runs in the Super Over while the Australian batters could only manage 16 runs.
Pacer Renuka Singh held her nerves to defend 20 runs, ensuring India clinched the match. Smriti Mandhana unleashed a flurry of strokes to help India reach 20/1 in the Super Over.
India had lost the first T20I by nine wickets at the same venue.
