Pankaj Jha, Popular Known As Panchayat’s Vidhayak Ji Takes a Dig Against Pankaj Tripathi For Glamourising ‘Struggle’: ‘I Don’t Like…’

Pankaj Jha is a household name in the TV and film industry. He has appeared in various movies and web series. However, one of the iconic roles that stood out to people was MLA Chandra Kishore Vidhayak in the comedy series Panchayat. Recently, Jha appeared at the Lallantop Cinema and accused Pankaj Tripathi of glamourizing his ‘struggle’. He also asserted that Mukesh Chhabra replaced him in Gangs of Wasseypur with Pankaj Tripathi, even though he was initially selected to portray the Sultan.

During an interaction with the portal, the Panchayat actor opened up about his struggling days and said, “I don’t like the word ‘struggle’. If you’ve chosen to follow your passion, you should enjoy it, shouldn’t you? And as we’ve seen often in the industry, people like to glamourize their struggles. Some people say they sold potatoes, others say they lived in a tiny house, and some say they stole another actor’s slippers. I feel every situation is a learning experience.” The mention of slippers could be a reference to Pankaj Tripathi taking Manoj Bajpayee’s slippers while working at a hotel where Manoj was a guest.

He further pointed out, “These people have complexes, they have huge egos. They get upset if you don’t greet them, or if you voice your opinions. They get so upset that they refuse to work with you again, and they tell their friends not to work with you either. It’s happened to me.”

When he was asked to give an example, the actor said, “I was going to do Wasseypur, and I got a call from MC (Mukesh Chhabra). I was in Patna, so I returned after a couple of days. By then, he’d got someone else to do the character I was supposed to play… It was the role of the Sultan (from Gangs of Wasseypur). I asked him why, but… After that, I didn’t get a call from that production house.”

Meanwhile, Pankaj Tripathi was last seen in Netflix’s film Murder Mubarak. He will now be seen in Stree 2. On the other hand, Pankaj Jha will next be seen in Panchayat season 3.
