Bollywood’s veteran Shatrughan Sinha and Rekha were all smiles when they met each other at a wedding reception in Mumbai. In a heartwarming gesture, the diva touched the feet of Shatrughan Sinha and gave him a hug. It was the reception party of Wizcraft International Entertainment’s co-founder and director Andre Timmins’ son Leslie Timmins. Leslie tied the knot with Saachi Nayak in an intimate ceremony on 12 September.

A video of Shatrughan Sinha and Rekha’s reunion was posted by on a paparazzo account on Instagram. Rekha, 69, was seen walking towards the veteran star, 77, and touching his feet as a mark of respect. The evergreen actress was also seen greeting the actor’s wife Poonam Sinha with a hug. Shatrughan Sinha and his wife were also accompanied by their daughter Sonakshi Sinha. Then, they all posed together for photographs.
Rekha looked ravishing as ever as she opted a heavy saree and equally heavy ornaments for the occasion. Other celebs including Hrithik Roshan, Shahid Kapoor and Jacqueline Fernandez also graced the grand bash.
Social media users were quick to react to this wonderful moment. While many termed it as ‘beautiful’ and showered red heart emojis, one of the users said, “Rekha is a stalwart still touching feets of Shatru…this is beyond words.”
Shatrughan Sinha and Rekha have worked in several films such as Chehre Pe Chehra, Do Yaar, Jaani Dushman, Kahtey Hain Mujhko Raja, Kashmakash, Khoon Bhari Maang, Parmatma, Maati Maangey Khoon, Muqabla and Raampur Ka Lakshman.
When Shatrughan Sinha and Rekha were not on talking terms
It is said that the duo had a fall out during the shooting of Khoon Bhari Maang and weren’t on talking terms. Speaking about the same, Shatrughan Sinha had once told Zoom that they didn’t speak to each other for over 20 years. “We had a difference of opinion over some silly issue. After that, we didn’t speak to each other for more than 20 years,” he had said. The actor had further added that it was his wife Poonam who mediated and made them patch up.
