Who is Mia Khalifa? There’s a lot more to her than her career in the adult film industry it seems.

Early Life

Khalifa was born in 1993 in Beirut. She has said she was both in a conservative family and was also bullied after moving to the United States for her dark skin, post the 9/11 attacks especially. To support herself, she also worked as a model and a bartender.

Career in the adult film industry

Her career in the adult film industry or the porn industry began in October 2014. One of her videos where she could be seen indulging in a threesome while wearing a Hijab brought her immense attention. She was announced the number one searched adult film star by one of the websites that’s now banned in India.

Quitting the porn industry

While speaking to The Huffington Post, Khalifa said she quit the industry to do a more normal job. She said, “I guess it was my rebellious phase. It wasn’t really for me. I kind of smartened up and tried to distance myself from that.”

Comments on the Israel-Hamas conflict

“If you can look at the situation in Palestine and not be on the side of Palestinians, then you are on the wrong side of apartheid and history will show that in time,” Khalifa wrote in a message on X and pinned to her profile.

She added, “I just want to make it clear that this statement in no way shape or form is enticing spread of violence, I specifically said freedom fighters because that’s what the Palestinian citizens are… fighting for freedom every day.”

In response to Khalifa’s tweets, Todd Shapiro, who was planning to collaborate with her, took immediate action by terminating their partnership. He tweeted, “This is such a horrendous tweet @miakhalifa.Consider yourself fired effective immediately. Simply disgusting. Beyond disgusting. Please evolve and become a better human being. The fact you are condoning death, rape, beatings and hostage taking is truly gross. No words can explain your ignorance.We need humans to come together, especially in the face of tragedy. I pray for you to become a better person. However, it clearly seems like it’s too late for you.”

Fired by Playboy

Owning to her comments, Khalifa has been fired by the adult magazine Playboy and they have decided to end all their relationship with the adult film star.

“We are writing today to let you know of our decision to terminate Playboy’s relationship with Mia Khalifa, including deleting Mia’s Playboy channel on our creator platform,” their mail read.
