World Cup 2023 Top 10 run-getters: Virat Kohli sits on top, Quinton de Kock in second

The group stage of the 2023 ODI World Cup has ended, and the race for the trophy is well and truly on. Hosts India have maintained a perfect start to the tournament, with nine wins in as many matches, whereas defending champions England are out of the tournament.

South Africa, Australia and New Zealand are the other three teams to qualify for the semi-finals apart from India.

This has been a batters’ tournament so far, with teams like India, South Africa and Australia posting scores in excess of 300 on multiple occasions.

As far as the top batters are concerned, four of them including Virat Kohli and Quinton de Kock have gone past the 500-run mark while six other players, including David Warner and Rassie van der Dussen, have surpassed the 400-run figure.

India’s Virat Kohli leads the batting charts with 594 runs in the tournament, followed by Quinton de Kock (591 runs) and New Zealand’s batting sensation Rachin Ravindra (565).

With two centuries to his name in the tournament, Kohli remains a favourite to end the tournament as the top run-getter.

India captain Rohit Sharma (503) is ahead of Australia opener David Warner (499) in the list. Rassie van der Dussen (442), Mitch Marsh (426) and Shreyas Iyer (421) are sixth, seventh and eighth respectively.

Daryl Mitchell (418) and Dawid Malan (404) complete the top 10 batters.
