‘Bankrupt’ Vijay Mallya Hosts Big Fat Wedding For Son Siddharth; Wanted Lalit Modi Among Guests
'Wanted' in India, businessman Vijay Mallya, who was once 'bankrupt', hosted his son, Siddharth Mallya's big fat Christian and Indian wedding in a lavish fashion in London. Absconding Lalit Modi and cricketer Chris Gayle were part of the guest list.
Siddharth Mallya Jasmine Wedding: A leading businessman of his time and now ‘wanted’ in India, Vijay Mallya has been in the news lately for hosting a lavish Indian and Christian wedding for his son, Siddharth Mallya and his girlfriend Jasmine. Photographs of the newly-wed couple have been circulating on social media and what’s catching everyone’s attention is the scale of the wedding and the guest list. Embroiled in a loan fraud case worth over Rs 900 crore, Vijay Mallya hosted his son’s wedding in a 14 million dollar-estate which is owned by him. Another absconding businessman, Lalit Modi was also part of the ceremonies.
‘Bankrupt’ Vijay Mallya Hosts Lavish London Wedding For Son
Siddharth Mallya’s wedding has been grabbing eyeballs because of its large scale, given that his father, Vijay Mallya is still embroiled in an loan fraud case worth over Rs 900 crore. Wanted in India, Vijay Mallya had been declared ‘bankrupt’ by UK’s Insolvency and Companies Court of the High Court in July, 2021. The wedding, both Indian and Christian were held in Mallya’s $14 million estate in Hertfordshire, UK and the festivities lasted for a week. Earlier owned by Anthony Hamilton, father of F1 Champion Lewis Hamilton, the estate was acquired by Vijay Mallya in 2015, a little before he left India.
Lalit Modi, Chris Gayle Part Of Guest List
Apart from the regal wedding venue, the guest list of this wedding attended by ‘close friends and family’ was also part of headlines. Photographs of another absconding businessman, Lalit Modi have also surfaced on social media, from the wedding festivities. West Indian cricketer Chris Gayle was also part of Siddharth Mallya and Jasmine’s big fat wedding.
A week before the wedding, Siddharth Mallya had shared a post on his social media platform with the caption ‘Wedding week has commenced…’
Just recently, the first photo of Siddharth Mallya and Jasmine as man and wife came out, in which Siddharth was in a green tuxedo while Jasmine looked lovely in a white wedding gown with a veil, and a bouquet in her hand. This photo is captioned as ‘Mr and Mrs Muppet’.
In another photo, Siddharth-Jasmine are also seen flaunting their wedding rings, with their hands placed on each other’s.
