Coimbatore International Airport Receives Bomb Threat Email, CRPF Forces Active; Flight Operations Likely To Be Affected

Coimbatore Airport Bomb Threat: In the past few weeks, multiple schools, airports and other public places have received bomb threats resulting in the police being extremely active to ensure the safety of the public. Fortunately, all of these bomb threat calls or emails have been hoax with no actual danger for the people in those places. In the latest update, a bomb threat mail has been received by the Coimbatore International Airport at 7:30 AM in the morning today. As soon as the call was received, the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) security forces became active and took over the entire airport. A thorough investigation is underway.

Bomb Threat Mail Received By Coimbatore International Airport

As mentioned earlier, the Coimbatore International Airport has received a bomb threat email early in the morning today. A bomb squad, dog squad and additional security personnel are actively conducting searches in the entire airport premises to ensure the safety of all the incoming and outgoing passengers, flight crew and the entire airport staff.

Second Bomb Threat In Two Weeks For Coimbatore Airport

This is not the first time that the Coimbatore Airport has received a bomb threat; this threat is a second in two weeks. Being the second threat in just two weeks, it has raised an alarm regarding safety and a more thorough check than last time is being conducted. Coimbatore City Police teams have also arrived at the airport premises to ensure the safety; entry to the airport had been restricted temporarily. While there is no update regarding the delay in flight operations, it is highly likely that flights may be delayed at the airport due to the checking.
