Anti-incumbency is a natural process that ends up in frequent changes in leadership in a specific assembly or constituency. In point of fact, anti-incumbent leaders work flat out to reverse the trend to stick to it to their seats. But the dynamics of Indian politics are such that their efforts often go in vain.
Maharashtra will go to polls next week and while existing MLAs pull up their sock to secure enough votes to assist them stay in power, 12 leaders do now not should worry about leaving place of job.
The assembly elections within the third-largest state of India will likely be a power tussle between the two alliances – the ruling Mahayuti and the Opposition Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA). The upcoming election will likely be a litmus test for the BJP-led Mahayuti after a poor show within the Lok Sabha elections.

Is anti-incumbency going to play a job in polls?
Yes, ant-incumbency is among the important thing challenges that the candidates face in a state it be already marred with rampant defections.
Nevertheless, the BJP, which is an element of the Mahayuti alliance, is confident that its candidates won’t face anti-incumbency.
“There’s no anti-incumbency as a protracted way as the BJP is concerned. The birthday celebration and the central government have done job in Maharashtra lower than the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi,” said BJP candidate Ameet Satam.
