After Diljit Dosanjh, central agencies feared that the next big Bollywood star who is under the threat radar is Amitabh Bachchan. As per a report by CNN-News18, after Big B’s recent interaction with Diljit on KBC, a wave of threats flooded for the actor from the Khalistani groups. Central agencies are currently assessing certain threats to Bachchan, which, according to sources, are believed to be linked to his recent meeting with Dosanjh.
Threats to Amitabh come days after the episode of KBC 17 went on air, which featured Diljit Dosanjh as the recent guest.
Threats to Diljit Dosanjh
Khalistani organisation Sikhs for Justice (SFJ) issued security threats to Diljit and his Melbourne concert after he was seen touching Bachchan’s feet. SFJ chief Gurpatwant Singh Pannun issued a warning that the group would try to disrupt Diljit Dosanjh’s concert in Australia scheduled for November 1.
The Khalistani group criticised Dosanjh’s respectful gesture as they accused the singer-actor of dishonouring the victims of the 1984 anti-Sikh riots. The SFJ alleges that Big B had a big role in igniting the violence during the 1984 riots after the then Prime Minister Indira Gandhi’s assassination.
The SFJ claimed that Bachchan had allegedly used the slogan “Khoon Ka Badla Khoon” (Blood for Blood) during the riots. As per SFJ, Bachchan’s words “unleashed violence in which over 30,000 Sikh men, women, and children were killed across India(BHARAT).”
Threat to Diljit Dosanjh’s Melbourne Show
As per a report by CNN, a concern was raised by the Melbourne police and intelligence agencies over security threats to Diljit Dosanjh’s Aura 2025 concert. According to the intelligence report, the high-profile event of the singer is under the radar of SJF, and any mishap can take place.
Not just that, SJF has also been circulating and promoting hashtags like #BoycottDiljit and #PanthicJustice on X and Instagram. These efforts are driven by bot accounts, and diaspora influencers were used to amplify emotionally charged visuals connected to the 1984 riots.
