“Protest or indirect Import or transit of all goods originating in or exported from Pakistan, whether or not freely importable or otherwise authorized, may be prohibited with prompt pause, unless further orders. This restriction is imposed in the fervour of nationwide security and public policy. Any exception to this prohibition shall require prior approval of the Authorities of India,” said a notification by the Commerce Ministry.

A provision in this regard has been added in International Change Policy (FTP) 2023 “to restrict enlighten or indirect import or transit of all goods originating in or exported from Pakistan with prompt pause unless further orders”, it said in the notification dated May 2.
