This week, another Bollywood star passed away, leaving the industry in disbelief at the uncertainty of life. The actor and comedian, Satish Shah, was 74 years old and died due to kidney failure on October 25.

Many celebrities paid respect to the actor during his last rites. Satish got popular for his performance in Sarabhai vs Sarabhai. The cast and celebrities of the show attended his funeral. Rupali, the lady who played Satish’s daughter-in-law, was seen sobbing inconsolably. On Sunday, the Big B of the industry, Amitabh Bachchan, also took to his social media, expressing grief over the news of Satish’s passing.

The actor and comedian became popular from his show, Sarabhai vs Sarabhai. Later, he was seen in movies like ‘Mujhse Shaadi Karogi’, ‘Hum Aapke Hain Koun’, ‘Main Hoon Na’ and ‘Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge’.

Satish Shah and Amitabh Bachchan have worked on multiple projects together. It started from the movie ‘Shakti’ in the year 1982 and later in ‘Hero Hiralal’ in 1988. In 2008, the two were seen together in the movie ‘Bhoothnaath’.

Many bollywood celebrities have mouned the loss of their dear friend, Satish Shah. On Sunday, Amitabh Bachchan through his Tumblr shared, “Another day another work another quiet. Another of us passes away. Satish Shah, a young talent, has left us at a very young age. And the stars they favour not .. to us all .. And these times of the grim .. it bodes not well to express in normalcy .. foreboding us in all at each moment .. It is in the ease to abide by that age old wordage .. “ but the show must go on ” .. and so it does as does life .. Each day an express of an alternate .. or wherever the ‘show’ must guide us to ..… hence ..even in distress and glumness despondency , the face of normalcy and the act of work , persists ..

but no .. improper to pursue normalcy ..”

Satish’s passing away

The actor died at PD Hinduja Hospital & Medical Research Centre of kidney failure at the age of 74. In a statement, the hospital mentioned that efforts were made to revive Satish by giving CPR in the ambulance, but he couldn’t survive.

The last rites of Satish Shah happened in Mumbai on Sunday. Several celebrities like Kunal Kohli, Rupali Ganguly, Johnny Lever, Rajesh Kumar, Deven Bhojani and many others from Bollywood were a part of the mourning.
