New Delhi: Balloting for by-elections to 5 assembly constituencies across Gujarat, West Bengal, Punjab and Kerala began on Thursday morning amid tight safety preparations. The polling began at 7 am and can proceed till 6 pm. The seats where polling is underway are Kaliganj in West Bengal, Nilambur in Kerala, Ludhiana West in Punjab, and Kadi and Visavadar in Gujarat.
