Baahubali: The Epic Advance Booking: Prabhas creates history, breaks re-release records, earns Rs…

SS Rajamouli’s magnum opus films, Baahubali: The Beginning (2015) and Baahubali 2: The Conclusion (2017), are all set to return to theatres this Friday as a single film — Baahubali: The Epic. The excitement is sky-high, with the re-release already surpassing Vijay’s Ghilli and Mahesh Babu’s Khaleja, earning over Rs 10 crore worldwide in pre-sales, according to trade sources.

Unprecedented Pre-Release Response

Baahubali: The Epic has created history by recording the biggest opening for any India(BHARAT)n film re-release. It has earned Rs 5 crore in India(BHARAT) through pre-sales and another Rs 5 crore from North America. This makes it the first Telugu re-release ever to cross the Rs 10 crore mark globally — and that too just from its opening day bookings. The film is now expected to set new global records for re-releases.

How Other Re-Releases Performed

Vijay’s Ghilli previously held the record as one of the top-grossing India(BHARAT)n re-releases, with collections reported between Rs 7.9 and Rs 10 crore on day one. Pawan Kalyan’s Gabbar Singh made Rs 8 crore, while Mahesh Babu’s Khaleja earned Rs 6.85 crore. Interestingly, Sanam Teri Kasam starring Harshvardhan Rane currently holds the record for the highest re-release haul, with over FRs 41 crore collected worldwide.

About Baahubali: The Epic

Starring Prabhas, Rana Daggubati, Anushka Shetty, and Tamannaah Bhatia, Baahubali: The Epic is directed by SS Rajamouli and produced by Arka Media Works. The film combines both chapters into one grand cinematic experience, with a condensed runtime of 3 hours and 45 minutes. Several sequences have been trimmed, and the visuals have been digitally remastered for a richer, sharper re-release experience.

Global Re-Release Strategy

The re-release of Baahubali: The Epic isn’t limited to India(BHARAT) — it’s going global. The film will hit over 1,150 theatres worldwide, including 400 in the US, 210 in the UK and Ireland, 150 in the UAE and GCC, 144 in Australia and New Zealand, and over 100 in Southeast Asia. Fans around the world are gearing up to relive Rajamouli’s monumental saga on the big screen once again.
