Bad news for Dhurandhar makers, Chaudhary Aslam’s wife raises objection to this sequence, says, ‘We are Muslims and…’

Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh’s multi-starrer film “Dhurandhar” is set to release in theatres on December 5th. The film appears to be embroiled in controversy even before its release. First, the parents of Major Mohit Sharma approached the Delhi High Court to ban the film, and now the widow of Pakistani police officer Chaudhry Aslam has objected, threatening to take legal action if her husband is portrayed in an inappropriate or derogatory manner.

Chaudhary Aslam lost his life in the blast

Dhurandhar is set in the Lyari district of Karachi, which has a history of gangs and terrorist activities. Sanjay Dutt plays Chaudhry Aslam, known for leading operations against notorious criminals like Rehman Dakait and Uzair Baloch. Aslam survived a bomb attack on his home in 2011 but was killed in a bomb blast on the Lyari Expressway in 2014. The film has been a subject of controversy since the release of its trailer.

These words are also derogatory to his mother

Following the trailer’s release, Aslam’s widow, Naureen Aslam, said she plans to watch the film after its release, but objected to a specific line in the trailer. The dialogue refers to the character as “the child of a devil and a jinn,” which she found deeply offensive. Speaking to news agency PTI, Naureen said, “We are Muslims, and such words are offensive not only to Aslam but also to his mother, who was a simple and honest woman.” Naureen stressed that any misunderstanding could force her to take legal action.
