Hosted by Salman Khan, Bigg Boss 19 premiered on August 24 and now, after 15 roller-coaster weeks filled with tasks, emotional confrontations and surprising twists, the show is heading toward its grand finale this weekend. Originally, 16 contestants entered the house, later joined by two wildcards, making a total of 18 participants. As of today, only five remain in the race for the trophy: Gaurav Khanna, Tanya Mittal, Pranit More, Farrhana Bhatt and Amaal Mallik.
Among them, Pranit More has quietly built one of the most talked-about comeback arcs of the season.
Who is Pranit More?
Before fame, Pranit studied marketing at the Welingkar Institute of Management in Mumbai and briefly worked in automobile sales. Disenchanted with corporate life, he shifted gears. From 2019-2023, he worked as a radio jockey with Radio Mirchi. But his real breakthrough came when he started doing stand-up comedy. His observational humour, relatable jokes and stage presence struck a chord with audiences.
Soon, his digital footprint grew, and YouTube sketches, live performances, and stand-up specials made him a name to watch. Pranit evolved into a versatile entertainer, funny, honest, and grounded.
What controversies haunted his path?
No journey is without hurdles. As Pranit entered Bigg Boss 19, a backlash erupted when old clips resurfaced: some featured jokes he made about Salman Khan and controversial commentary involving actor Veer Pahariya.
The situation escalated earlier in 2025 when Pranit was assaulted by some Pahariya fans over those jokes, a moment the media covered widely. Though Pahariya publicly condemned the attack, the controversy continued, shadowing Pranit into the Bigg Boss house. Contestants occasionally referenced it, turning the past into a source of tension.
How did Pranit survive inside the Bigg Boss 19 house?
Once inside, Pranit didn’t stay quiet. Even when Salman Khan confronted him over old jokes during Weekend Ka Vaar, Pranit held his ground. His appeal wasn’t just in his humour, it was in his honesty, intelligence, emotional strength and willingness to admit mistakes.
Through clever strategy, comic timing, genuine friendships and a grounded personality, he navigated conflicts, survived nominations and reached the Top 5. For many, his redemption narrative became a highlight of this season.
What about his earnings and standing outside the show?
Despite reaching the finals, Pranit remains the lowest-paid contestant among the top five. His weekly fee during the show reportedly ranged between Rs 1 lakh and Rs 2 lakh, totalling about Rs 14-28 lakh for his 14-week journey. Yet, his overall net worth, bolstered by comedy gigs, digital content and brand deals, is estimated at Rs 4-8 crore.
