Bihar Election 2025: Following the NDA's seat-sharing agreement in Bihar, the Grand Alliance (Mahagathbandhan) is now in a state of flux. All major leaders, including Lalu Prasad Yadav and Tejashwi Yadav, are in a huddle to finalize seat-sharing.

Bihar Assembly Election: Seat-sharing discussions are rife for the Bihar Assembly elections. The NDA has announced its seat-sharing agreement. Now, it’s the Grand Alliance’s turn. However, according to reports, the Congress is trying to drive a hard bargain and the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) remaining firm on the number of constituencies it is willing to give up.
Meanwhile, Patna witnessed high drama last night with the RJD assigning and then withdrawing symbols assigned to some of its leaders. RJD president Lalu Prasad gave away party tickets to several candidates until his son and heir apparent Tejashwi Yadav early on Tuesday pointed out that the INDIA bloc, helmed in Bihar by the Rashtriya Janata Dal, was yet to formally announce a seat-sharing formula. According to sources, the symbols were handed over by Lalu Yadav while his son Tejashwi was in Delhi to discuss seat sharing with the Congress.
Congress General Secretary Jairam Ramesh said that the Congress president is speaking to all alliance partners in Bihar and final discussions are underway to select candidates for some of the seats. The Congress president has been speaking to all leaders in Bihar for the past two days. However, sources also said that a meeting of top Congress leaders will be held at the party headquarters on Monday to finalize the names of candidates for some more seats in the Bihar Assembly elections.
