At least six workers were killed on Friday after a structure collapsed at a private steel plant in Chhattisgarh’s Raipur.
Raipur: A tragic incident has emerged from Chhattisgarh where at least six workers were killed and five others injured on Friday after a structure collapsed at a private steel plant in Raipur. According to police, over five people are feared trapped in the incident. The tragic incident took place at the Godavari Ispat Ltd plant, which is located in the Siltara industrial area. Police and rescue teams are at the scene, and the rescue operation is underway, said Raipur Superintendent of Police Lal Ummed Singh.
Singh informed that six workers lost their lives in the accident and five others sustained injuries.
“Five people are feared trapped inside,” Singh added.
Police said that the injured people have been rushed to the nearest hospital and are undergoing treatment.
