New Delhi: Bangladesh’s International Ministry has summoned Indian High Commissioner Pranay Verma amid escalating border tensions between the two countries.
The Bangladesh govt has alleged that the Indian Military had allegedly opened fire within the border space. After this alleged incident, there has been a opposed and stressful impression within the family between the two neighbouring countries.
The incident took location on the intervening evening of January 10 and 11 on the border outpost of Nawada when a neighborhood of 15-20 armed smugglers now not famend the warnings of the Border Security Force (BSF) personnel and tried to forcibly take the smuggled items across the border.
The BSF seized an large quantity of Phensedyl, a codeine-based cough syrup, early on Saturday, January 11.
Per the statement issued by the BSF, on Friday evening, some smugglers entered the Indian border from the Bangladesh facet and no subject the orders and warnings of the safety personnel, they didn't fade aid, after which they reportedly attacked the troops.
In retaliation, the BSF needed to fire empty rounds.
