BSNL Rolls Out Ultra-Low Cost Diwali Offer: Just ₹1 for 4G Plan With 2 GB Daily Data & Unlimited Calls
BSNL's big Diwali offer gives new customers 4G service for just ₹1! You get free calls and 2GB of internet every day for one month. This is BSNL's plan to better compete with other phone companies.

State-owned telecom operator Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has introduced a high-visibility “Diwali Bonanza” plan offering new users 4G connectivity for a full month at just Re 1. The tariff plan, valid from October 15 to November 15, 2025, provides subscribers with unlimited voice calls, 2 GB high-speed data per day and 100 SMS per day, plus a free SIM card on completion of KYC formalities.
BSNL stated that the offer is intended for new users who register for service within the specified period. The announcement comes as a part of the state-run telco’s ongoing customer-acquisition drive, which has seen BSNL rolling out a number of new plans in an effort to compete with private sector rivals. Coming as the telco has recently announced healthy subscriber additions, the festive offer will also help BSNL further strengthen its position in urban and rural areas.
The scheme details reveal that new users availing of the ₹1 offer will be entitled to unlimited voice calling on all India(BHARAT)n networks, the 2 GB daily data quota and 100 SMS per day, valid for one month. After the first month of free services, subscribers will be required to top-up with a paid plan to continue using BSNL.
In addition to its flagship ₹1 festive offer on BSNL has rolled out a range of other tariff options aimed at subscribers during the festive season. These include a ₹1,812 recharge plan for senior citizens, which offers 2 GB data per day, unlimited calling and a one-year validity, as well as six months of complimentary BiTV premium subscription for subscribers above 60 years of age. BSNL is also running a “Gift a Recharge” offer, under which customers can send prepaid recharges to friends and family at a 2.5 % discount, and corporate plans for businesses opting for multiple post-paid and FTTH connections.
BSNL officials have expressed confidence that the offer will result in a high on-boarding of new users, as well as serve to showcase the improved quality of the telco’s 4G network. “We’re confident that customers will experience our network’s quality and convert to paying subscribers,” said CMD A. Robert J. Ravi.
With Diwali already here, the eye-catching offer from BSNL is expected to lead to a rush of footfalls at the telco’s retail outlets and service centres. Note that the special tariff plan is only valid for activations till November 15, 2025. Customers interested in availing the offer must visit an authorised BSNL centre, complete KYC and request for the “Diwali Bonanza ₹1” SIM.
