Dabangg director Abhinav Kashyap reveals Salman Khan also helped craft film’s dialogues
Abhinav Kashyap revealed that Salman Khan contributed in framing dialogue in Dabangg.

Salman Khan is one of the biggest actors in the Bollywood industry. He has been contributing to cinema for decades, and one of his massive hit movies is Dabangg, where he played Chulbul Panday, a cop loved by audiences. More than just a superstar, he is celebrated for his golden heart, always extending help and showing humility to everyone. Yet, some, like Abhinav Kashyap, have allegedly misinterpreted his actions, claiming Salman Khan altered dialogues in Dabangg.
The truth is, the superstar chose to remain uncredited for his major contribution to the film’s dialogues. In an old interview, Abhinav Kashyap allegedly spoke about Salman Khan changing the dialogues in Dabangg. However, when the interviewer asked him why Salman Khan was not credited as a writer in Veer, Abhinav replied, “That you should ask Salman.”
That was indeed a discourteous remark from the director, considering Salman’s major contribution to the dialogues. In fact, in the same interview, Abhinav himself admitted that iconic lines from Dabangg like “Itne ched kar dunga ki, confuse ho jaonge ki, saans kahan se le aur pade kahan se,” “Kamine se yaad aaya,” and “Hum Robin Hood Pandey hai,” among many others, were all given by Salman Khan. The allegations that Abhinav has made against Salman in his recent interview sound like the ramblings of a deranged mind.
What’s important to note is that Salman Khan contributed several iconic dialogues to Dabangg without taking any official credit, despite also being the film’s producer. He chose not to overshadow the writers, reflecting a humble gesture from the superstar, putting his team’s recognition ahead of his own.
Moreover, Abhinav Kashyap does not even hold a solid base in the industry due to his rude behavior. He has unnecessarily bashed several people. He even directed the worst film of Ranbir Kapoor’s career, Besharam. The film was such a disaster that no one gave him work after that.
Therefore, all the criticism and negative comments directed at Salman Khan on baseless grounds are completely unwarranted and absurd.
