Delhi Assembly Elections: AAP releases first list of 11 candidates, fields Brahm Singh Tanwar from Chattarpur
The Aam Aadmi Party has released first list of eleven candidates to contest for the upcoming Delhi Assembly elections on Thursday.
New Delhi: The Aam Aadmi Celebration has released first lists of Eleven candidates for the upcoming Delhi assembly election on Thursday. The assembly polls are scheduled to happen in February next year. This decision came after AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal held a celebration’s Political Affairs Committee (PAC) meeting today at his residence in New Delhi.
Taking to the X, ANI posted, ‘AAP releases the first list of Eleven candidates for 2025 Delhi elections. Former BJP leaders Brahm Singh Tanwar, Anil Jha and BB Tyagi as well as as former Congress leaders Chaudhry Zubair Ahmad, Veer Dhingan and Sumesh Shokeen who joined AAP recently also included through the list.’

Within the last Delhi assembly elections held in February 2015, the Aam Aadmi Celebration secured a majority of votes and won 62 seats out of 70 seats. The Bharatiya Janata Celebration (BJP) won eight seats while Congress struggled to open their account. After the elections, the Aam Aadmi Celebration formed the state government, with Arvind Kejriwal turning into Chief Minister.
