Despite being the son of Bollywood’s ‘Badshah’, Shah Rukh Khan, Aryan Khan chose not to pursue a career in acting. Instead, he opted to work behind the camera as a director. His debut project, The Bads of Bollywood, has stirred a storm among both critics and audiences since its release. While many have praised the 28-year-old director’s brilliance, a section of netizens has raised questions. It’s so good that people doubted his direction. One of the users wrote, “Did Aryan Khan really direct such a big project himself?” Another user said, “Is it possible for Aryan to handle such a major production on his own?”
Did Aryan Khan hire a ghost director for The Bads of Bollywood?
Anya Singh, one of the lead actresses of the series, immediately dismissed the ‘ghost director’ theory upon hearing it. She isn’t paying any attention to the doubts surrounding Aryan Khan’s involvement. In a recent interview with HT, she said, “I feel people just want an opportunity to bring another person down”. She added, “That’s why I say he is so deserving of every good thing everyone is saying about him. He has worked really hard on this project. From 7 in the morning to 11 PM, his energy never dropped. You never saw him sigh. He was always smiling and so focussed.”
According to Anya, Aryan could have chosen to work with experienced technicians if he wanted, but he deliberately pushed forward his own vision by collaborating with young writers and cinematographers. “Very few people take such a bold step. Even knowing there would be a storm of criticism, Aryan didn’t waver from his goal. That’s why I respect him a lot,” said the actress.
However, Aryan kept the shocking climax of the series a secret, as it has created the biggest stir. There is already a lot of discussion among the audience about the surprising twist. But did you know that even most of the cast members didn’t know the final twist until the day of shooting?
Anya said, “We never read the climax in the script. We were only told the story on the morning of the shoot. We didn’t know anything for months. Maybe except Bobby sir, Mona ma’am, and Manoj sir, no one else knew the whole story. We were taken in Shah Rukh sir’s van and kept guessing, but we couldn’t figure anything out. With Aryan, you never know what’s coming in advance!”
