‘Do kaan ke…’, After Zaira Wasim, former actress Sana Khan angrily slams Bihar CM Nitish Kumar for Hijab controversy- Watch
Former actress Sana Khan strongly criticises Bihar CM Nitish Kumar over the hijab controversy, calling out the incident and demanding accountability.
A recent video involving Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has sparked widespread outrage on social media. The clip shows the Chief Minister pulling the hijab of a Muslim woman doctor while presenting her with a certificate at a public event in Patna. The incident has triggered strong reactions from many public figures, who have questioned the behaviour and the message it sends about women’s safety and dignity.
While the video continued to circulate online, voices from the film industry also began reacting strongly. One of the most vocal responses came from former actress Sana Khan, who did not hold back her anger while addressing the issue publicly.
Sana Khan reacts angrily to Hijab controversy
Sana Khan shared a video on her Instagram story, expressing deep anger and disappointment over the incident. She questioned how such behaviour could come from someone in a position of power. She said, “Hamari ek hijabi behen ko certificate dete waqt pata nahi hamare ‘respected politician’ ke andar aisa kya jaag gaya ki unhe uska chehra dekhna zaroori ho gaya? Unhone seedha uska naqaab kheench diya. Zyada hairani toh peeche khade un logon par hai jo is harkat par gadho ki tarah hans rahe the.” Her words reflected not just anger but shock at the lack of objection from those present at the event.
Sana Khan on the safety of women
Sana further questioned the double standards often seen in discussions about women’s safety. She said, “Jab hum sarkaar se ladkiyon ki safety ki baat karte hain aur candle march nikalte hain, toh kya hamare neta aisi harkatein karenge? Yeh poora behaviour ‘kaan ke neeche do laga dene’ wala gussa paida karne jaisa tha.”
She went on to add, “Mera mann kar raha tha unke do kaan ke neeche laga doon. Yeh sab dekh kar mere andar itna gussa chadh gaya ki naturally kisi ko bhi gussa aa jaaye. Aaj jab hum apni safety ki baat karte hain, toh yeh sab dekhna aur bhi zyada disturbing ho jaata hai.”

Zaira Wasim’s reaction
Before Sana Khan’s reaction, former actress Zaira Wasim, popularly known for Aamir Khan’s Dangal and Secret Superstar, had also condemned the incident. Calling it a serious violation, she stated, “A Chief Minister is expected to uphold dignity, consent, and constitutional values at all times. Touching or pulling a woman’s hijab while publicly honoring her is not respect—it is a violation of personal, cultural, and religious boundaries.”
