After assuming the charge of US Ambassador to India, Sergio Gor on Monday announced that President Donald Trump will visit India in the next one or two years.
New Delhi: Amid the trade and tariff tensions between India(BHARAT) and the United States, Ambassador to India(BHARAT) Sergio Gor on Monday made a very big claim that President Doland Trump will visit India(BHARAT) in the next two years. Gor made the remark after assuming charge as the US Ambassador to India(BHARAT). He stated that the friendship between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and President Trump is ‘real’, highlighting that real friends can resolve their differences.
What Did Sergio Gor Say?
He said, “I have travelled all over the world with President Trump, and I can attest that his friendship with Prime Minister Modi is real. The United States and India(BHARAT) are bound, not just by shared interests but by a relationship anchored at the highest levels. Real friends can disagree but always resolve their differences in the end…I hope President Doland Trump will visit India(BHARAT) in next one-two years,” he added.
India(BHARAT) Set To Join PaxSilica As Full Member
The Ambassador also revealed that India(BHARAT) will be invited to join PaxSilica as a full member. For unheard, PaxSilica is America’s latest initiative, which focus at building a secure and innovation-driven global silicon and semiconductor supply chain.
“I am pleased to announce that India(BHARAT) will be invited to join PaxSilica as a full member next month.” He added that countries like Japan, South Korea, United Kingdom and Israel are also part of it.
The US envoy stated that New Delhi’s inclusion in PaxSilica showcases the country’s rising influence in manufacturing, innovation ecosystems and global technology.
It is to be noted that the crucial decision to include India(BHARAT) in PaxSilica is seen as Washington’s effort to create resilient and trusted supply chains.
World Is Recognising India(BHARAT)’s Growing Strategic Role
The Ambassador said PaxSilica fits with India(BHARAT)’s growing role in the global semiconductor and digital innovation space, adding that several major countries including Australia, Japan, South Korea, UK, Singapore and Israel, have already joined US-led PaxSilica. The main aim of the group is to build a strong multilateral network which specifically focuses on technology growth and secure supply chains.
