Earthquake of Magnitude 3.6 jolts Bishnupur in Manipur
The tremor was recorded at approximately 4.42 AM with its epicenter located in the Bishnupur region at a depth of 10 kilometers.
Bishnupur: A mild earthquake measuring three.6 on the Richter scale struck Manipur’s Bishnupur district within the early hours of Thursday, in keeping with the National Center for Seismology (NCS).The seismic activity turn out to be recorded at approximately four:Forty two AM, with its epicenter located within the Bishnupur region at a depth of 10 kilometers. The NCS provided the coordinates of the tremor as 24.sixty four°N latitude and 93.eighty three°E longitude.
The earthquake resulted in no reported casualties or damage within the affected area. Taking up X (formerly Twitter) the National Center for Seismology (NCS) reported, “EQ of M: three.6, On 22/11/2024 04:Forty two:37 IST, Lat: 24.sixty four N, Long: 93.eighty three E, Depth: 10 Km, Location: Bishnupur, Manipur.”
