Faridabad HORROR: Woman gang-raped inside moving van, thrown out of car near Raja Chowk in SGM Nagar, gets 12 stitches on her face
Police said the victim was held captive for nearly three hours as the van made its way through isolated stretches in Faridabad amid dense fog.
A 28-year-old woman was brutally gang-raped inside a moving van in Faridabad late on Monday night and then thrown onto the road in the early hours of Tuesday. According to the police, the woman was waiting for a vehicle to return home at night when a van stopped near her. Two young men inside the van offered to drop her home. Trusting them, she got into the vehicle. Instead of taking her home, the van was driven towards Gurgaon Road.
The woman was kept inside the van for nearly two and a half hours. During this time, the two men repeatedly raped her. She begged them to stop, but they ignored her cries and threatened her to keep quiet.
At around 3 am, the accused pushed the woman out of the moving van near Raja Chowk in SGM Nagar. She suffered serious injuries to her face and was bleeding heavily after hitting the road.
Despite her condition, the woman managed to call her sister several times. When her sister finally answered, she immediately rushed to the spot with other family members. The injured woman was taken to a hospital, where doctors said she was in critical condition and had to receive 10 to 12 stitches on her face.
Doctors later said her condition is now stable, but she remains deeply traumatised. Due to her shock, her detailed statement has not yet been recorded. The woman is married and has three children. She has been living separately from her husband because of a family dispute.
Police spokesperson Yashpal Singh said that the victim’s sister stated in her complaint that she received a call from her sister at 8.30 p.m., who told her that she had an argument with her mother at home and was going to her friend’s house.
The victim said she would return from her friend’s house in three hours.
According to the victim’s sister, around 12.00 a.m., the victim was waiting for a ride to go home, but failed to get it. Soon after, the accused offered a lift to the victim, which she accepted.
Police have arrested both accused and recovered the van used in the crime. Further investigation is ongoing.
