A Grammy-nominated powerhouse known for his soaring vocals and cross-genre appeal is heading back to the Las Vegas Strip.
Josh Groban is slated to bring Josh Groban: GEMS The Las Vegas Residency to The Colosseum at Caesars Palace this fall, with performances scheduled for October 2, 3, 7, 9, and 10, 2026.
Groban is expected to sing fan favorites from throughout his long career, as well as selections from a new album due this spring.
A Caesars Entertainment spokesperson confirmed the October dates to TheStreet on Feb. 10. The encore comes less than a year after Groban’s first GEMS residency in Vegas in May 2025, which “sold out and was a huge success,” Groban's press rep Luke Burlan told TheStreet.
“Thrilled to announce my return to the iconic Colosseum at @caesarspalace! Last year was so special that I am bringing the show back,” Groban shared on social media.
“Las Vegas has always been a place where music and spectacle meet, and I’m thrilled to bring Gems back to The Colosseum for this special run,” Groban shared in the Caesars’ announcement. Groban’s return reflects Vegas’ appeal for touring artists
Groban’s return highlights the strength of the modern Las Vegas residency model.
Residencies used to be reserved for aging rockers or longtime Vegas staples. Artists such as Frank Sinatra, Elvis Presley, and later Celine Dion and Britney Spears helped cement the residency model as a way for audiences to experience major stars in immersive settings.
But that model has evolved.
Today, residencies are bona fide strategic entertainment assets — they drive tourism, stimulate hotel and casino revenue, and help Las Vegas compete with arena tours by offering extended runs at a single venue.
Las Vegas visitors spent approximately $55 billion in 2024, with about 10% spent on entertainment and shows. An average visitor to Las Vegas spends $63 per trip on shows and entertainment, according to Las Vegas Convention and Visitor Authority data.

Headline performers in the hip-hop, country, and classic rock genres are increasingly signing multi-show residencies on the Strip, turning Vegas into a semiregular showcase for music superstars rather than merely a stop on a world tour.
Groban’s return illustrates this trend.
He is anchoring part of his year to Vegas, blending residency dates with global touring stops. Residencies allow artists to deepen their connection with fans in a single location, offer enhanced production values that travel tours can’t easily replicate, and capitalize on the steady flow of visitors who might make a Vegas trip specifically to see the show.
What fans can expect at Josh Groban's shows in October
Details of Groban’s October residency suggest he'll blend familiarity and freshness. GEMS will feature hits from throughout Groban’s career — spanning pop, classical crossover, Broadway, and theatrical staples — alongside songs from his upcoming album due this spring.
That mix appeals both to longtime Groban fans and to casual Vegas audiences who might be drawn in by the spectacle of a residency-style staging.
Groban’s shows have several presale windows, starting with Citi cardmembers on Feb. 11, 2026; general public tickets go on sale Feb. 14, 2026.
Caesars Entertainment and other venue operators know that structured ticket releases create buzz and give die-hard fans early access while still accommodating broader demand when general sales begin.
This mix of ticket tiers, presales, and VIP experiences has become a staple in Vegas residencies because it maximizes demand and revenue. Also this year, Groban will co-headline a global tour with Grammy-, Oscar-, Tony-, and Emmy Award-winner Jennifer Hudson, the Caesars announcement said.
The business of Las Vegas entertainment
Josh Groban’s residency announcement arrives at an important moment for Las Vegas entertainment.
Visitor numbers and resort performance — including hotel occupancy and casino traffic — are closely watched metrics in an era when Vegas competition is fierce. Live entertainment remains a critical draw, and residencies are among the biggest drivers of concert-related trips.

Residencies by major names help Vegas differentiate itself, especially when the city faces broader tourism challenges or shifts in travel patterns.
High-profile residencies have become economic anchors for Strip resorts. Hotels see increased bookings; restaurants, shops, and nightlife venues get more foot traffic.
For artists, residencies provide stable income and branding opportunities with less wear and tear than constant touring logistics. Groban’s multi-show Vegas booking fits that win-win scenario.
Vegas residencies provide a temporary home base for artists
Las Vegas residencies also allow artists to experiment with new formats. The fixed location means stage design, choreography, and audience interaction can become more ambitious. For Groban — whose career spans pop charts, Broadway roles, orchestral performances, and theater — the residency offers a platform to highlight both his vocal range and his storytelling sensibilities.
As Groban prepares for his fall run at Caesars Palace, it’s a reminder that no other city has managed to become the residency hub that is Las Vegas. Although other markets dabble in residencies, especially Madison Square Garden in New York, in Vegas they are a year-round phenomenon.
While gaming revenue and conventions remain important to the city’s core business, residencies such as Josh Groban: GEMS are helping reshape Vegas's entertainment image, blending star power with theatrical storytelling and tourism economics.
For Groban, October’s shows are more than another line on the tour calendar. They represent a deepening of his relationship with a city that has emerged as a strategic and creative base for artists at the peak of their careers.
