After the deadly protests in Nepal in September, Gen Z has once again gone on the streets. The Gen Z individuals have accused the police officials of failing to arrest some people, as shown in the complaints about the protests. This led to a freshly imposed curfew in the Bara district.

Fresh protests in Nepal

Nepal’s new protests broke out on Wednesday around 11 am at Simara Chowk. Later, the police authorities started to scatter them. The protests began near the region of Simara Airport, as a result of which the police had to fire the canisters of teargas in the region, as reported by the Kathmandu Post.

The clash began when the leaders of the Unified Marxist-Leninist (UML) decided to visit the district once before elections, which are to take place on March 5, 2026.

Where is the curfew put?

According to the reports, the curfew was put up in the Simara region of Nepal. It was put around 12:45 pm and is expected to remain active until 8 pm in the Bara district.
