Hamare Baarah’s Ankita Dwivedi Says ‘I Locked Myself For 2 Days’ on Massive Trolling

Hamare Baarah has been the subject of dispute way before its release. Threats have been made online against the actors and producers of the movie. In addition, actor Ankita Dwivedi, who made her feature debut as Rukhsaar, expressed her thoughts on the trolling that followed the teaser release. Ankita said, “Initially I got scared and started crying and locked myself in my room for 2 days because it is something which has not happened before. I got scared so much that I was not able to step out of the house until my family came after 2 days and calmed me down. I made sure that I kept off my social media for some time.”

She went on to say that she believed social media to be a double-thickened wall where it was impossible to know the genuine identity of the abuser, giving them complete freedom to take advantage of you. Their genuine motivation for doing all of these things stems from their ongoing desire to let out their rage and unhappiness with life. “But again as a human, you will surely get affected by their horrible comments but at some point in time, you will understand that ignorance is the only solution as they will just not stop,” she added.

Sharing a message for the audience as the film has been released, the Hamare Baarah actor continued, “I would just request people to watch the film and decide for themselves. The film has a beautiful message and is inculcated with family dynamics, values, human emotions and rights as well.  It’s a beautifully crafted story with its emotional ups and downs. I’m sure the audience will love it when they watch it.”

Produced by Birender Bhagat, Ravi S Gupta, Sanjay Nagpal, Sheo Balak Singh, and Annu Kapoor, ‘Hamare Baarah‘ featured a strong cast that includes Abhimanyu Singh, Parth Samthaan, Ashwini Kalsekar, and others. The film is directed by Ravi S Gupta. With Ajendra Ajay serving as creative director, Rajan Agarwal wrote the film’s script, which ensured a moving tale of both societal issues and individual struggles.
