After the revelation of the Hema Committee report, a lot of cases of sexual harassment and abuse of power have emerged inside of the Malayalam film industry. Prominent figures inside of the Malayalam entertainment industry have been accused of misconduct by a lot of actresses. The minister spoke to attendees at some stage within the inauguration of the Sakhi Dormitory at Sri Theater in Thiruvananthapuram. He brushed aside such reports as “political drama,” claiming that some media outlets had fabricated the allegations. Cherian asserted that the High Court’s involvement used to be confined to questioning the state government’s actions in keeping with the report, in place of offering any critique or judgment of the govt.. itself.
