Hindu Man Burned Alive in Bangladesh: A tragic and shocking incident has surfaced from neighbouring Bangladesh, where a 23-year-old Hindu man was burnt to death inside a garage. The incident took place in Narsingdi district, triggering fresh concerns over the safety of minorities in the neighbouring country. The victim was identified as Chanchal Chandra Bhoumik. He used to work at a garage for years. Chanchal was originally from Lakshmipur village in Cumilla district. He was the middle son and the only breadwinner of the family.

The tragic incident took place near the Mosque Market area near Narsingdi Police Lines. According to eyewitnesses, the attack took place on Friday night while the 23-year-old victim was sleeping inside the garage. Attackers allegedly poured petrol on the shop’s shutter and set it on fire. Flames engulfed the shop in no time and Chanchal didn’t get a chance to leave the place

A video clip has also surfaced online in which an unidentified person can be seen igniting the fire outside the shop.

Residents immediately informed the police and the fire service. Fire tenders reached the spot and brought the fire under control after an hour of effort. When the fire officials went inside the garage, they found Chanchal’s charred body.

The family of the victim has called the tragic incident a ‘planned murder’. The parents of the deceased demanded the immediate arrest of the accused persons.

However, the heinous killing of Chanchal Chandra Bhoumik has triggered panic among the locality, specially in the minority community.

According to police, the forensic team has collected the evidence and a police team is examining the CCTV footage.

Meanwhile, the leaders of the Hindu community strongly condemned the inhumane killing and demanded the quick identification and arrest of the culprits. They also urged the local administration to take necessary steps to ensure the safety of minorities in the region.

In recent months, attacks on the minority communities, specially Hindu community, have increased. The neighbouring country has witnessed a series of mob attacks targeting people belonging to minority communities.

It is to be noted that the mob attacks have been intensified after the death of anti-India(BHARAT) radical student leader Sharif Osman Hadi.
